History does tend to repeat itself. I will try and get the artiste to post a pictoral. Summer edition: ill conceived late night ferry to Ikaria in August (or was it sept?). Now the winter edition: ill conceived late night train from Budapest to Prague. Never good when the conductor knocks at the door of the couchette and says: "Prague...20 minutes." and u peel open your eyes and your watch grimaces at you... 3am. Out the window you see a lot of snow. It's gonna be a long day.
Was that Clare asleep on a bench at the train station with white plumes of cold coming out of her mouth?
Phone interview set up with acs for 12/15. Jam set up for tomorrow.
Seriously think if there is any info I might track down to be ready for 12/15. "Couchette" sounds so Poirot.
ReplyDeleteFrom Murder on the Orient Express:
H. Poirot: Only by interrogating the other passengers could I hope to see the light, but when I began to question them, the light, as Macbeth would have said, thickened.
Poirot: If all these people are not implicated in the crime, then why have they all told me, under interrogation, stupid and often unnecessary lies? Why? Why? Why? Why?
Dr. Constantine: Doubtless, Monsieur Poirot, because they did not expect you to be on the train. They had no time to concert their cover story.
Hercule Poirot: I was hoping someone other than myself would say that.
