looking through old(er) photos- here are some doors from Tokat, Turkey, a fascinating town famous for it's elusive Tokat kebap. We never found the kebap but found some interesting doors (here) and interesting people (to follow)- j
the doors are all so personal and full of life.......
modern approach
bottom of door behind the hill
slanted handle for easy grasping
color
texture
a riot of stuff in one corner
spikey handle and green spots
porcelain and string
well protected
nailheads galore
not a door- wall cladding and fuel
scallop shell and diamond keyhole
using what's around
